General Practice Orthodontics

For decades, the Academy of GP Orthodontics has been providing General Practitioners with continuing dental education in orthodontics. This allows general dentists to provide orthodontic options to their family of patients in the comfort of their own offices.

The Academy of GP Orthodontics training for general practitioners focuses on a comprehensive two year training. During the intensive two year course, the dentist learns both hands-on clinical practice from start to finish with their patients and classroom treatment theories.

Dr. Earp completed his two year fellow and residency at The Academy of GP Orthodontics in Dallas, Texas in 2014. Dr. Earp is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Academy of GP Orthodontics.

Braces

Traditional braces attach to the front of your teeth with metal brackets. In conjunction with a variety of wires, traditional braces are used to position teeth with regard to a person’s bite and mouth structure. Over time, the braces help shift teeth into a beautiful and straight smile.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces use the same bracket and wire system as traditional braces, but they serve as a cosmetic alternative by blending in more with the natural color of the teeth. In this case, the brackets are made of ceramic versus metal, but provide the same results as traditional braces.

Our clear aligners are comfortable, removable, and, best of all, nearly invisible. Most people won’t even notice that you’re wearing them. Some severe cases of misalignment do require traditional ceramic or metal braces, but most patients can be treated effectively with clear aligners. Especially convenient for adult relapse cases when you don’t wish to have braces, again, but want straight teeth! We will create a 3D model of your mouth and a series of clear plastic aligners custom-fitted to your teeth. You then come in the office for each series for Dr. Earp to check your progress.
